Our first week here, I googled events in Germany and discovered the world’s largest pumpkin festival – on the same list as Oktoberfest so it must be good.
Located in the gardens of the beautiful Ludwigsburg Palace, the Pumpkin Festival had a theme to match its surroundings…Fantastic World of Fairytales.
We walked through the gardens, admired pumpkin art, took lots of pictures and ate and drank pumpkin-flavored everything (even Prosecco!). It was the perfect fall activity on a lovely sunny day and made us feel like we were at a pumpkin patch back home.
